Sikkim

but following a political crisis and treaty with
India, was annexed to and became the 22nd
state of India. The semi-isolated Hill State of
Sikkim, situated in the foothill of mighty Kanchanjunga,
was never easy to visit and still one requires having
an inner-line permit.
