Itinerary
With
eight of the worlds ten highest peaks, Nepal is loaded with spectacular
mountains vistas. Everest trek is justifiably famous, not only for its
proximity to the world's highest mountain ( 8848m ) but also for its
friendly Sherpa people, picturesque villages great variety of cultures
and traditions, colorful festivals and monasteries. The flora and fauna
are other ornaments of the Sagarmatha National Park. The story of yeti
is still a mystery in the world from the Kahumbu region.

Sightseeing 1/2 Day sightseeing to Monkeys Temple and trekking permit
arrangements. O/N in Kathmandu.

- Lukla - Phakding
The
trail climbs for about an hour after Puiyan to a ridge at 2800 meters
then up to another ridge. First we descend to Surke from Puiyan, on
a small tributary stream of the Dudh Koshi and climb for 15 minutes
to a junction where a stone staircase leads off to the right to the
Lukla airport. However it is not necessary to go there, so we climb
toward to Phakding.

Beginning
with a slight climb to Jorsale we pass a waterfall and along this part
of the trail villages are interspersed with magnificent forest - rhododendron,
magnolia trees and giant firs. Then walk to Namche crossing few bridges
and a climb of several hundred meters, a steep descent and another steep
climb through the forest.

(Acclimatization Day (3440 m.)
Acclimatization
is very important before proceeding to a higher elevation. You can spend
a day taking a day hike to Thame, Khunde or Khumjung or relax and explore
Namche Bazaar, a Sherpa community.

- Tengboche
From
Namche a steep one hour climb to Syangboche (3720 m) provides excellent
views of EVEREST and Ama Dablam. From there we descend to Punki Thanka
via Khumjung, then the trail climbs steeply at first and makes a gradual
ascent through forests and around many stones as it follows the side
of the hill up to the saddle on which Tengboche Monastery sits at 3870
m. There is a clearing surrounded by dwarf firs and rhododendrons and
the best views can be seen from here. Kwangde
(6187m), Twawchhe ( 6542m) EVEREST (8848m.) Nuptse (7855m), (Lotse (8618m),
Ama Dablan (6856m) Thamserku (6608 m) provide an inspiring
panorama of Himalayan giants. We visit the largest monastery at Tengboche
in Khumbu region.

Tengboche
- Dingboche
It
is a short step and a muddy descent to Devuche through a forest of birches,
conifers and rhododendrons. Then cross the bridge and ascend to Pangboche
through the forest and magnificently carved Mani stones to Pangboche
at 3860 meters. Then the route enters alpine meadows above the tree
line, to Dingboche.

The
trail ascends the broad, gently sloping valley and climbs steeply into
the terminal moraine of the Khumbu glaciers then crosses the bridge
and climbs higher on the Moraine to a row of stone monuments in memory
of six Sherpas who died in an avalanche at Lobuche at 4930 meters.

- Gorkshep - Kala Patthar - Lobuche
The
trail from Lobuche follows the muide, a geographer's name for the trough
at the edge of the glaciers lateral moranie. A tributary glacier has
piled another moranie across the trail which has to be crossed, giving
a good view of Pumori. This section of the trek provides good views
of the Everest group and Pumori from Gork Shep and Kala Pattar
